Annual Events

The Hillsborough Association provides various events throughout the year where neighbors can gather to get acquainted and make new friendships.  These events are chaired by our homeowners.   In addition, each event is also co-sponsored by various businesses and individuals within our area to help defray expenses.   Many prizes and treats are donated by local vendors---Mc Donalds on 132nd and Maple,  Panera Bread, Baker's, Hillsborough Dentistry, Dr. Kotil Pediatric Dentist, and Kmart,  just to name a few.

Time: 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

This event is held in early spring.  We hope for a weekend after the winds have died and the weather is turning nice.  Materials for the clean up event are supplied by the City of Omaha.  The event coordinator picks supplies up at the city office downtown and then returns them after the clean up weekend.  The city parks department ensure the trash is picked up that week. We accept bulk items, tires and any unwanted household items. This is also a good time check for any hazardous waste material. Check out www.underthesink.org for additional information. In addition to household clean up, we will also be cleaning up the park. All the trash will be picked up and fresh mulch around the trees. This year, the dump site is located in the Hillsborough Park parking lot. The event is teamed up with Greentree Neighborhood. Volunteers are welcomed!
